E kore ratou e koroheketia
Penei i a tatou kua mahue nei
E kore hoki ratou e ngoikore
Ahakoa pehea i nga ahuatanga o te wa.
I te hekenga atu o te ra
Tae noa ki te aranga mai i te ata
Ka maumahara tonu tatou ki a ratou.
To commemorate past and present serviceman and woman of both Aotearoa and Ahitereiria, the tamariki at CCQE Pukuatua Street have been discussing ANZAC and how important this day is to many New Zealanders.
Tamariki have been involved in various activities to commemorate this day, such as creating and painting an army soldier and the New Zealand flag, making handprint poppies, crafting medals and wearable poppies and going on an excursion to the Rotorua Museum to experience the 28th Māori Battalion exhibition.
